Eddie Fletcher presented at NSF-ATE meeting

Drs. Eddie Fletcher and William Tyson presented PathTech findings to the NSF ATE National Principal Investigators Conference in Washington D.C., October 23–25, 2013. PathTech is a collaboration led by researchers in the Department of Sociology at the University of South Florida (USF) and Florida Advanced Technological Education Center (FLATE), Hillsborough Community College. This project aims to examine the progression of students from high school STEM themed career academies into advanced technology programs at Tampa Bay community colleges and into the local workforce. This mixed methods study integrates education and employment administrative data from the Florida Department of Education with interviews with students and key personnel from Tampa Bay institutions and local businesses.

Dr. William Tyson is an Associate Professor in the Department of Sociology at the University of South Florida and project director. Dr. Fletcher contributes to the quantitative analysis of project data.
